Meet Your MBA Admissions Coach: Angela Guido
I'm Angela Guido, MBA admissions coach, former BCG consultant, and founder of MBA Protocol. I help ambitious, purpose-driven professionals gain admission to top MBA programs like Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Booth, and beyond. With over 17 years of experience as an MBA admissions consultant, I combine deep industry insight with a human-centered approach to help you tell your story, maximize your potential, and achieve your goals. If you're serious about transforming your career through an MBA, you're in the right place.

Why MBA Applicants Trust Me
If you're into fancy credentials, here’s the highlight reel:
- BA in Philosophy from Yale University
- MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business
- Former BCG consultant and KPMG HR manager
- Certified in MBTI® and StrengthsFinder®
- 15+ years coaching ambitious professionals into top MBA programs like Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Booth, and many more
All that knowledge is at your disposal when you work with MBA Protocol no matter who you choose as your coach. But though these experiences have informed me, they’re not the ones that make the work we do here so meaningful to our clients. The work that leads them to say things like… “To work with Angela Guido is to have an MRI performed on your soul.”
I’ve spent my life as a student of human nature — fascinated by what makes people thrive, connect, and come alive.
My real credential isn’t the degrees or the brand names. It’s the thousands of hours I've spent helping people like you find the thread of their story, bring it to life on the page, and step into their future with clarity and confidence.
MBA admissions is just the arena. Human potential is the real game we’re playing.
How I Help You Get Into Your Dream MBA Program
Applying to business school is hard.
You have to tell your story, position your achievements, articulate your goals, and convince some of the smartest people on the planet that you belong at their school — all while managing your job, your life, and your own inner doubts.
That’s where MBA admissions consulting comes in.
At MBA Protocol, I help you:
- Clarify your story: Connect your past, present, and future into a compelling, authentic narrative.
- Strengthen your applications: Craft standout resumes, essays, recommendations, and interview strategies that show why you're an irresistible candidate.
- Choose the right programs: Target MBA programs that align with your values, goals, and vision for the future.
- Manage the process with confidence: Avoid overwhelm, stay organized, and put your best self forward at every step.
Whether you're aiming for Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Booth, Kellogg, INSEAD, or any other MBA program on the planet, I bring a combination of strategy, soul, and proven expertise to help you succeed.
This isn't just about getting into business school — it's about stepping fully into the next, biggest version of yourself.
If you're ready to stop spinning your wheels and start building an MBA application you’re proud of, you're in the right place.
My Mission: Helping Purpose-Driven Leaders Rise
I don't care about careers for the sake of careers.
I care about building a better world — one human at a time.
When you fulfill your potential, align your work with your values, and create genuine connections, you not only transform your career — you transform the lives around you.
My mission is to help purpose-driven leaders step into their power, tell their stories with heart, and create impact that matters.
The MBA is just the beginning. Your real work is to lead with purpose, build with love, and leave your corner of the world better than you found it.
My Story: From Philosophy Major to MBA Admissions Coach
When I graduated from Yale with a degree in Philosophy, I had two job offers: one at a major market research firm helping companies understand consumers, and one teaching English to three-year-olds in South Korea.
I chose the kids.
That decision — confusing to almost everyone around me — taught me something essential: I'm much more interested in working with real humans than with data about them.
Over the next decade, my journey took me from teaching in Korea to consulting at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), managing HR at KPMG, earning my MBA at Chicago Booth, and eventually coaching applicants at one of the world's top MBA admissions firms.
Along the way, I became a lifelong student of human nature — fascinated by how people grow, connect, and achieve meaningful success.
Founding Career Protocol, and its current evolution, focused purely on MBA applicants, MBA Protocol, was the natural next step. I wanted to create a space where smart, ambitious, purpose-driven people could find their voice, own their story, and build careers that not only succeed on paper but feel deeply fulfilling.
Today, helping future leaders step into their full potential through the MBA admissions process isn’t just my job — it’s my calling.
Fun Facts, Frameworks, and Why We’ll Probably Laugh Together
I believe laughter is one of the highest forms of human connection.
Before I became an MBA admissions coach, I was the kind of nerd who wrote for The Yale Record (the nation's oldest college humor magazine), produced comedy shows in business school, and even managed to sneak jokes into the minutes of the National Junior Classical League meetings (that’s a national club for Latin nerds).
Communication is everything — and shared laughter makes even the hardest things easier.
That's why, even as I teach you how to write a kickass formal resume, ace an interview, or craft a winning MBA essay, I'll also remind you that life is too short to take everything too seriously.
A few more fun facts:
- My MBTI® type is INFP, though I once spent years thinking I was an ENFJ (long story).
- My StrengthsFinder® top five are Activator, Connectedness, Strategic, Learner, and Ideation.
- My psychic French friend insists my spirit animal is a dove. 🕊️
- Yes, “Guido” is my real last name. No, I’m not from “Jersey Shore.”
Oh, and about frameworks:
As a former management consultant, I'm obsessed with simplifying complex ideas. A great framework can turn confusion into clarity in an instant.
Whether we're talking about beating the Sunday scaries, navigating career transitions, or deciding which MBA programs fit your goals, you'll find that I love using simple, intuitive models to help you think smarter — and act with more confidence.
(And if we can sneak a unicorn gif or a perfectly timed emoji into the process? Even better.)

See?
