Who interviews you
Admissions staff ran every Goizueta interview our clients reported. Standard interviews were one-on-one with an adcom member; scholarship weekend interviews were two-on-one panels pairing a member of the admissions team with a second-year student.
Where
Most interviews have been virtual on Zoom since 2020. Others took place in person at the admissions office in Atlanta, including the scholarship weekend panels and a recent standard interview. Recent invitees could choose virtual or in person in the portal.
Interview style
Conversational resume walk- through
Most interviews open with a resume walk-through or tell me about yourself, then move conversationally through goals, why MBA and why Goizueta, with a few behavioral prompts (leadership style, a team that went badly, a mistake) mixed in rather than a formal behavioral block.
Blind or application read?
Resume in hand. Interviewers have had your resume in front of them, and none referenced essays. Know your whole application anyway.
Scheduling
An email invitation sends you to the portal to choose virtual or in person and pick a slot. If your preferred slot is full, it can be worth asking admissions whether another is available. Clients have generally known their interviewer in advance, and interviewers tend to be ready early, so be set up ahead of time.

What our clients say happens
Clients describe short, relaxed conversations with an adcom member who has the resume in hand and builds each question off the last answer. Standard interviews ran about 30 minutes, sometimes finishing early even with time for your questions, and interviewers tended to be ready early, sometimes well ahead of the slot. Follow-ups are gentle: how did you arrive at your goals, what support got you through a challenge, is there anything on your resume you want highlighted to the committee. The scholarship weekend was a different animal, with two back-to-back panel interviews (one a resume and goals walk-through, the other deeper behavioral questions) and heavy probing on the motive behind long-term goals. Interviewers seemed interested in the person, including upbringing and free-time questions.
Very conversational and natural.
