Jobs and pay
Come here when you want to know whether MBAs are still getting hired and paid, school by school. For scale, GMAC puts the average post-MBA starting salary at roughly $120,000, against $72,000 for a college grad.

How much of each class was actually looking for a job
TL;DR: Not every MBA grad needs a job. Some go back to their old employer or start a company, so check who’s being counted before you read any placement number. At Stanford, MIT Sloan and Harvard, under two thirds of the class was looking.

Data nerd note: Every placement rate in this report is a share of job seekers, so the same headline number covers 93% of Darden’s class and 63% of Stanford’s. Columbia, Georgetown, UNC and USC don’t publish their seeker counts, so their bars are our estimates.

Source note: Share seeking is graduates seeking employment divided by all graduates, from each school’s Class of 2025 report.
